Job summary

Vertiv, a global leader in data center power solutions, seeks a Technical Sales Manager – AC Power, Hyperscale. This fully remote role targets hyperscale accounts with deep technical expertise and industry knowledge.

You will respond to RFPS, guide architecture discussions, and work with Hyperscale Account Managers to drive growth. Expect domestic travel and mentorship of junior staff as you shape product direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• 8-10 years of industry sales experience.
• Technical knowledge of products and applications.
• Industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics.
• Experience working on large, complex RFQs.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate well with other departments and sales offices.
• Salesmanship and self-confidence to deal with frequent, stressful customer relationship issues.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
• Ability to attain quota in measured categories.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical review and response to RFPs for Vertiv 3-Phase AC Power opportunities for Hyperscale key accounts.
• Supports driving sales growth.
• Provides technical support for assigned Hyperscale Account Managers including development of concept power architectures and selection of product ratings.
• Supports budgeting and spec development to maximize success rates.
• Coordinates with Hyperscale Account Managers to engage with consulting engineers and contractors.
• Represents the company at customer factory visits and travels as needed.
• Participates in account planning and engagement strategies for key clients.
• Supports technical proposals, design documentation, and project proposals for customers.
• Provides technical assistance to sales staff and leads customer communications.
