Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Technical Sales Senior Engineer – AC Power to support sales efforts for its 3-Phase AC Power offerings. The role is remote, addressing technical questions during sales engagements, setting customer expectations, and advising on new projects and initiatives.

The position requires deep technical knowledge, collaboration with customers and internal teams, and travel to key accounts as needed. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4–8 years of sales experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 4-8 years of industry sales experience.
• Technical knowledge of three-phase products and applications.
• Industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics.
• Experience working on large, complex RFQs; familiarity with power one-lines and three-phase power calculations.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate with other departments and sales offices.
• Ability to handle objections and articulate solutions.
• Strong communication across audiences with varying technical levels.
• Ability to attain quota in measured categories.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical review and response to RFPs for Vertiv 3-Phase AC Power opportunities.
• Support driving sales growth.
• Provide technical support for key accounts including power architectures, product ratings, battery sizing, and design reviews.
• Assist with budgeting and spec development to maximize success rates.
• Coordinate with accounts to engage consulting engineers, contractors, and general contractors.
• Attend key customer factory visits and travel as needed.
• Contribute to account planning and engagement strategies.
• Support technical proposals, design docs, and project proposals.
• Assist sales staff with technical documentation and customer-facing presentations.
• Participate in new product development and provide industry feedback to product managers.
