Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Technical Sales Manager – AC Power, GSA, to lead technical sales efforts for 3-Phase AC Power with a focus on hyperscale accounts. This remote role involves handling RFP responses, developing power architectures, and guiding customers through product selection and design reviews.

You will collaborate with account managers and engineering teams, provide technical guidance, and help drive budgeting, specifications, and successful bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• 8–10 years of industry sales experience.
• Technical knowledge of products and applications.
• Industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics.
• Experience working on large, complex RFQs.
• Ability to build relationships across departments and sales offices.
• Salesmanship and self-confidence to handle stressful customer interactions.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
• Ability to attain quota in measured categories.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to RFPs for Vertiv 3-Phase AC Power opportunities with focus on Hyperscale accounts.
• Assist with development of concept power architectures and product ratings selections.
• Support budgeting and spec development to maximize success rates.
• Coordinate with Hyperscale Account Managers to engage engineers and contractors.
• Provide technical support for proposals, design docs, and customer-facing presentations.
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to product roadmaps.
