Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Technical Project Analyst to support the Technical Program Manager on a federal technology program. The Analyst will manage day-to-day controls, trackers, and artifacts, and surface risks early. The role requires translating technical details into clear status updates and actions for the TPM.

The ideal candidate will navigate IT delivery concepts, collaborate with technical teams, and drive action across internal teams and subcontractors in a fully remote US-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 8+ years in a related field or equivalent
• Certifications PMP, CAPM, CSM, SAFe preferred but not required
• Clearance: Public Trust
• Experience in project/program coordination, PMO support, program operations, or business analysis
• Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and information streams
• Hands-on experience maintaining program artifacts (action/deliverable trackers, risks/logs)
• Strong written and verbal communication translating technical discussions to actions
• Working familiarity with IT delivery concepts (Agile/SDLC) and IT terminology
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel (formulas, pivots, conditional formatting), SharePoint
• Good judgment on independent action and professional communication with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Maintain program trackers including actions, decisions, risks/issues, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables
• Monitor schedules across workstreams and elevate overdue items to TPM
• Incorporate changing priorities while keeping commitments on track
• Follow up with internal teams and subcontractors to obtain status and deliverables
• Support customer coordination within boundaries
• Escalate matters needing program judgment to TPM
• Prepare agendas and materials for meetings
• Capture decisions, actions, owners, deadlines, and dependencies and update trackers
• Draft status reports, presentations, and SOPs for review
• Maintain tracking and reporting in Excel, SharePoint, and 365 tools
• Identify opportunities to streamline coordination and automate processes
