Job summary

Staffing Science is hiring a hands-on Technical Lead for our Enterprise pod, owning authentication, SSO and enterprise-grade capabilities for our largest customers. You will lead a pod of three to four engineers, while still writing production code and setting the technical direction.

You will split time 60-70% hands-on and 30-40% leadership, remaining one of the strongest technical resources on the pod. Prior experience in developer tooling or infrastructure at venture-backed startups is

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2+ years as a tech lead or staff engineer while remaining hands-on.
Deep production experience in Rust and/or Python.
Strong technical architecture: distributed backend services, APIs, data models.
Experience mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews.
Experience at venture-backed startups in developer tooling, infra or B2B SaaS.
Diplomatic, clear communication with founders.

Responsibilities

Lead a pod of 3–4 engineers building enterprise platform components like authentication and SSO.
Stay hands-on: write and review production code in Rust and Python.
Own the pod's technical architecture and design decisions.
Plan, scope, and track work; set priorities and ensure delivery commitments.
Redirect the team when方向heading off track with clear reasoning.
Translate business priorities into technical roadmaps with stakeholders.
Raise engineering quality through reviews, docs, tests, and mentorship.
Collaborate across pods and with Europe-based teammates to align interfaces.
