Job summary

CSC Generation Enterprise is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Team Lead) to own a core area of our retail service cloud. You will architect, code daily, and mentor engineers while guiding feature delivery from legacy ecosystems to new functionality.

You will ship meaningful platform improvements within 6–12 months, establish standards, and drive end-to-end ownership across services in a lean team.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Proficiency with API Gateway, AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB.
• Comfortable with IAM and CloudWatch for debugging and least-privilege design.
• Experience with Python and Django or similar server-side frameworks.
• Track record of owning a product or service area technically (architecture, code quality, delivery).
• Mentor and elevate other engineers while maintaining individual contributor impact.
• Experience replacing or modernizing legacy systems in production.
• Ability to plan sprints, communicate tech details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Advocate for code quality and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner for your service within the retail service cloud, setting architecture direction and maintaining quality standards.
• Design, build, and ship features — reading and writing code daily with the team.
• Identify and resolve cross-stack technical challenges, from profiling to scaling the platform.
• Replace legacy code and services with modern, maintainable solutions and optimize the stack.
• Build frameworks and reusable patterns for upcoming projects across the portfolio.
• Plan and communicate product roadmaps, triage sprint tickets, and manage tradeoffs.
• Mentor junior engineers through code review and hands-on problem solving.
• Help grow the team by driving developer productivity and contributing to hiring decisions.
