Job summary

ABB in the US is seeking a Technical Design Manager for ABB Electrification. You will drive relationships with the 10 largest design firms, ensuring ABB products achieve preferred status in project specs and designs.

In this remote-friendly role, you will work with sales teams and Field Application Engineers to apply MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers and arc flash mitigation. Preference is given to candidates near Houston, Dallas, or Kansas City.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering; electrical preferred; minimum eight years in the electrical distribution industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to resolve technical issues.
• Self-starter; accountable for results and able to work without detailed direction.
• Authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for 10 design firm headquarters accounts.
• Develop and execute account growth strategies and manage budget targets for ABB project designs.
• Provide technical consultation during design/spec phases and support proposals and design reviews.
• Lead and mentor FAEs across multiple US locations and collaborate with sales teams.
