Job summary

ABB is seeking a District Sales Manager to serve as the primary interface between distributors, commercial contractors, and ABB. You will drive both qualitative and quantitative sales targets, develop market opportunities, and strengthen relationships with electrical contractors across the North American market.

The role combines field sales with strategic planning, requiring weekly travel to customer sites and the ability to work in a remote/Hybrid model from San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college with 3+ years of sales experience or GED/High School Diploma with 5+ years sales experience.
• Ability to travel to customer sites on a weekly basis.
• Educational background in Engineering or Business Management is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface between distributor/commercial contractor customers and ABB.
• Achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure order growth, revenues and profitability.
• Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin.
• Motivate electrical contractors to prefer ABB industrial solutions over the competition.
• Collaborate with distributors to set future sales targets and strategies and monitor pricing utilization.
• Communicate delivery, payments, and general terms to customers in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with electrical contractors at all levels of their organizations.
