Job summary

ABB is seeking a remote Field Service Leader to support customers across multiple states. The role requires on-site presence with ABB personnel and travel up to 80% regionally in TX, LA, MO and beyond, focusing on power delivery, switchgear, relays, transformers and control systems.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in electrical controls, with a High School Diploma or GED and 9+ years in a support or field engineering role; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in a support or field engineering position.
• Experience with various electrical controls (power delivery) and systems including mid-voltage and low-voltage switchgear, MCCs, transformers, ATS, wiring diagrams, blueprints and schematics, relay testing (preferred), PLCs & DCS (preferred), and VFDs (preferred).
• Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time across TX, LA, MO, OK, AR, KS, AL, MS, and TN; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site representative to the ABB end customer/user and other ABB field personnel.
• Preserve ABB's Safety Culture on every aspect and as first priority, in the field and always keeping an eye on co-workers.
• Occasionally have additional team leader administrative responsibilities to coordinate internal field service activities.
• Assist customer with spare parts ordering, issues resolution, and provisioning.
• Perform collateral duties as assigned to meet business needs as they relate to EHS, Quality, Integrity, etc.
• Perform duties in Power Delivery, Medium & Low Voltage Switchgear/MCCs, Protective Relays, Transformers, Control Systems, etc.
