Job summary

Talkspace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead to guide software teams in delivering high-quality features. You will plan large tasks, review code, mentor engineers, and partner with product and management to align on strategy.

You’ll lead end-to-end projects, ensure production readiness, and foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement across backend, frontend, or devops domains. Working remotely aligned to Eastern Time, with NYC-based headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
• 6+ years of professional experience working in both react and node.js
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience supporting teams or collaborating with subject matter experts, focusing on team success and leadership.
• Strong technical expertise and understanding of industry trends with the ability to help the team when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams by guiding feature development, troubleshooting issues, and managing product releases.
• Plan large tasks and delegate work to team members for effective execution.
• Ensure code quality through thorough PR reviews and adherence to guidelines.
• Deliver complex, production-ready features to QA and minimize bugs.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with hiring and training.
• Promote transparency and maintain high contribution to the codebase.
