Job summary

GE Vernova's Grid Solutions unit is seeking a Systems Engineer for offshore HVDC projects, coordinating tasks across in-house teams and suppliers to realize complex objectives. You will translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements and oversee verification and validation activities.

Join a multi-cultural, international team driving the energy transition, upholding rigorous standards and leveraging tools like IBM DOORS and PLM. Travel ~10% to support global projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on systems engineering experience with requirements management, verification and validation.
• Experience in HVDC Power Transmission or similar field.
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS and PLM tools.
• Clear communication of complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of system requirements to support project needs.
• Translate stakeholder technical needs into clear, verifiable system requirements.
• Allocate requirements across subsystems and owners; manage verification plans.
• Develop and manage Verification & Validation Plans and Reports.
• Coordinate Verification & Validation activities across project phases.
• Ensure quality and consistency of system engineering deliverables.
