Job summary

GE Vernova's Grid Solutions Integration in North America is seeking a Senior Electrical Substation Project Engineer Manager to lead a multi‑discipline team and coordinate with vendors and customers. The role covers HV/EHV substation design and acts as technical lead across engineering projects.

You will develop key deliverables, review proposals, and ensure work meets schedule and budget. Travel up to 20% and PE licensure are noted as desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in industrial or utility HV substation design, or a Master’s Degree with 10+ years.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (including international).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of AC power substation projects.
• Serve as the primary technical lead for scheduling, standards compliance, value engineering, design reviews, and QA/QC.
• Develop and oversee design deliverables: single-line diagrams, substation layouts, grounding, conduit/trench, cable routing, and control buildings.
• Act as the single point of contact for customers, vendors, PMs, and engineering teams.
• Drive cross-discipline coordination to deliver integrated substation solutions.
