Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Systems Engineer III to act as an individual contributor within the Device Engineering team of the Digital Workplace Technology organization. The role emphasizes automation-driven desktop and endpoint management solutions for 20,000+ technology end users, with a remote work setup and occasional travel to hub locations.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of modern endpoint management, automation-first engineering practices, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated desktop management solutions, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Automation and optimization: identify opportunities to automate manual processes across endpoint management, including health monitoring, self-healing remediation, provisioning, and compliance enforcement.
• System maintenance: monitor, maintain, and optimize desktop environments to ensure high availability, performance, security, and compliance; leverage automation to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Troubleshooting and support: handle escalations, diagnose and resolve complex desktop issues; provide technical support and training to IT Operations and Support personnel, focusing on automated resolution paths.
