Ingersoll Rand's EcoPlant division seeks a System Design Engineer to lead control-architecture design for remote deployments across the US and Canada. You will act as the product technical expert during the sales process, design the system architecture, and deliver documentation for installation and troubleshooting.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 5+ years of industrial controls experience.
• Strong system architecture design experience in industrial environments.
• 2+ years' industrial IT / networking experience and IoT deployment.
• 2+ years of technical customer service experience.
• Ability to read blueprints & schematics and strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of IoT protocols (Modbus, Profibus, TCP/IP) and data security.
• Ability to manage multiple urgent issues concurrently.
• Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint and Excel).

Aufgaben

• Provide pre-sales support as the technical expert and participate in customer calls.
• Be the first line of support for architecture / data security questions.
• Occasionally perform site surveys to design solutions for complex installations.
• Design system architecture for new installations, select hardware, generate BOMs and P&ID, identify compressor integration strategy.
• Provide technical specs to EcoPlant Engine team for Dynamic Engine design.
• Build customer dashboards and support installation with remote technical help.
• Complete all technical documentation post deployment (as-builts, mapping, integration details).
• Manage troubleshooting and escalation with product management and R&D.
• Liaise with product management for feedback and roadmap.
• Support training and onboarding of new associates.
