Job summary

Ingersoll Rand seeks a System Design Engineer for EcoPlant to lead system architecture for industrial controls, IoT integration, and for supporting sales during pre-installation. You will design the system, select hardware, and provide technical documentation throughout installation and post-deployment phases.

The role supports the Ecoplant product line across the US and Canada, with remote work options and ongoing collaboration with product management to enhance our predictive analytics-enabled

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
  • Experience with system architecture design in industrial settings is required.
  • 2+ years in industrial IT / networking and IoT device installation is required.
  • Strong reading of blueprints & schematics and data security understanding is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-installation system architecture design and select hardware/sensors.
  • Design system architecture and generate BOM and P&ID for new installations.
  • Support troubleshooting and post-deployment technical issues.
  • Liaise with product management to feedback on design and roadmap.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new associates.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
