Job summary

Leidos is hiring a Senior Relay Settings Engineer for its Power Delivery Solutions division to join a fast-paced team. You will prepare relay settings for 4.16kV through 500kV, develop protection schemes, and collaborate with protection engineers across remote and office locations.

The ideal candidate has a BSEE from an ABET-accredited school, 4+ years of experience in power system protection, and hands-on experience with Aspen OneLiner, CAPE, and major relay families (SEL, Alstom, GE, ABB).

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum 4+ years in power system protection and relay settings.
• Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with SEL, Alstom, GE, ABB relays.
• Understanding of transmission line and substation protection schemes.
• Experience using Aspen OneLiner and CAPE for coordination.
• Strong report writing for protective relay studies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willing to travel overnight occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare relay settings from 4.16kV through 500kV including set points, logic diagrams, configuration files, and documentation.
• Collaborate with protection engineers and review relay setting packages.
• Support project planning activities through design and construction support.
• Work directly with clients and remote staff.
• Solve challenging substation engineering problems.
