Leidos is hiring a Senior Relay Settings Engineer to join the Power Delivery Solutions division. You will lead relay setting design for substations and renewable projects, collaborating with protection engineers and clients across remote sites.

The role is open to a fully remote arrangement, with hybrid options at a Leidos office. Expect rigorous design reviews, high-quality reports, and frequent coordination with a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or BSEE with PE License).
• Minimum of four+ years of relevant experience in power system protection and relay settings.
• Able to understand Aspen OneLiner and Siemens CAPE for coordination and fault studies.
• Experience preparing high-quality technical reports for protective relay settings and studies.
• Ability to develop relay settings for relays including SEL, Alstom, GE, ABB, and others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare relay settings from 4.16kV through 500kV, including set points, diagrams, configuration files, and docs.
• Collaborate with protection engineers and review relay setting packages.
• Support project planning through design and construction phases.
• Interact with clients and remote staff at various locations.
• Tackle challenging substation engineering problems.
