Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions (PDS) division seeks a Senior Relay Settings Engineer to design relay settings for 4.16kV to 500kV, review protection schemes, and support design through construction, while collaborating with engineers and clients across remote locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or BSEE plus PE License.
Minimum of four plus years of relevant experience in power system protection and relay settings development.
Ability to understand Aspen OneLiner / Siemens CAPE for coordination and fault studies.
Experience in preparing high-quality technical reports for protective relay settings and related studies.
Ability to develop relay settings for relays including SEL, Alstom, GE, ABB and others.
Deep understanding of transmission line protection schemes and substation protection schemes.
Experience in interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.
High attention to detail with a passion for quality.
Strong engineering and interpersonal skills to work in a fast-paced team.
Willingness to travel overnight to customer sites, in-office, or testing lab occasionally.

Responsibilities

Prepare relay settings from 4.16kV through 500kV including relay set points and configuration files.
Collaborate with protection engineers and perform quality reviews on relay setting packages.
Support project planning activities through design and construction support.
Work directly with clients and remote staff.
Solve challenging substation engineering problems.
