Job summary

Leidos Engineering in the Power Delivery Solutions division seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead substation projects for electric utilities across the Northern and Midwestern US. You will oversee portfolio performance, drive process improvements, and mentor PMs, coordinating with clients and internal teams in a hybrid setup with some travel.

Requirements include a BS in a related field and 7+ years PM experience in electric power; PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business or finance.
• 7+ years PM experience in electric power industry; utilities exposure preferred.
• Experience with project financials, bids, cost estimates, and portfolio mgmt.
• Strong leadership, communication, and risk mitigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers to deliver substation engineering design projects.
• Own portfolio performance: cost, schedule, scope management.
• Drive strategic initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
• Mentor PM staff and foster collaboration across teams.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to report progress and mitigate risks.
• Oversee bid documents, cost estimates, and RFP responses.
• Manage invoicing, accruals, and receivables; pursue business development.
• Ensure contract compliance and quality control; travel as needed (<25%).
