Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for our Power Delivery Solutions division in the greater Chicago area. You will lead a team of PMs delivering substation engineering designs for electric utilities, overseeing portfolio performance and driving process improvements.

You will mentor PM staff, manage client relations, bids, and cost estimates, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. Hybrid/remote options support flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years PM experience in electric power or related field with BS, or 6+ years with MS.
• Experience with electric utilities required and understanding of electric power infrastructure.
• Experience with project financials, bid proposals, and cost estimates.
• Portfolio management and contract management experience; strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of PMs to deliver substation engineering design projects.
• Own portfolio performance: cost, schedule, and scope management.
• Drive strategic process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Mentor project management staff and foster collaboration.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to report progress and mitigate risks.
• Oversee bid documents, cost estimates, and RFP responses.
• Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and AR; pursue growth opportunities.
• Ensure contract compliance and quality controls; maintain stakeholder communication.
• Travel as needed (likely <25%).
