Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a senior electrical/substation design engineer to lead a remote team delivering comprehensive design packages for high- and HV/EHV-substation projects. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, manage schedules and budgets, and guide staff development while ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.

The role supports business development and project proposals. Qualified candidates have a FE, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a strong background in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or similar field from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years engineering or relevant field experience.
• FE licensure is required; PE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a team producing full detailed-design packages including general arrangements, elevations, foundation plans, and detailed substations design.
• Manages design activities, project planning, scheduling, and coordination between scopes of other disciplines.
• Develops workload forecasting, maintains active project lists, milestones, and ETC hours.
• Maintains accountability for team performance and budget tracking.
• Ensures adherence to NEI processes, standards, and client requirements.
