Job summary

Saab, Inc. in the United States is seeking a senior Subcontracts Manager to lead high-value, complex procurements with critical suppliers. The role requires FAR/DFARS flow-down, negotiation, and NDA/IDCT execution, with risk mitigation and contract compliance.

Remote or on-site work is possible; travel up to 25% may be required. You will partner with Engineering to develop SOWs, issue RFIs/RFQs, and manage supplier pricing, terms, and performance across multiple sites and programs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 10+ years in government contracting.
• U.S. Government, DoD, or FAA contracts experience.
• Experience navigating FAR/DFARS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and flow down requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Assist Engineering in creating Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Issue RFIs and RFQs and manage responses.
• Flow-down analyses to ensure customer requirements compliance including FAR/DFARS and FAA.
• Negotiate and manage supplier pricing, cost, schedule, and performance.
• Execute subcontracts, IDCT, NDAs, leasing and long-term agreements.
• Maintain legal records in compliance with government purchasing standards.
• Support proposal costing for materials and labor.
• Coordinate with Saab programs and affiliates; travel up to 25%.
