Job summary

Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building division is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to structural design and analysis of facilities across diverse construction types, collaborating with senior staff and multi-disciplinary teams in a flexible remote/hybrid environment across the United States.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree with emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience in A&E or govt contracting/consulting.
• EIT certification; eligible to sit for PE within 12 months.
• Proficiency with Revit, RISA-3D, SAP2000, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Support the structural design and analysis of facilities projects under guidance of senior staff.
• Lead portions of design work and contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Design structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems for new buildings.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications per applicable codes.
• Perform field investigations and assist in condition assessment reports.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines throughout the design process.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate drafting efforts; BIM coordination in Revit.
• Model structural systems in Revit and assist with BIM coordination.
• Ensure designs comply with local/state codes and UFC guidelines.
• Use RISA for analysis and design tasks.
• Assist in managing project schedules and deliverables.
