Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our High Performance Building division. This full-time role supports projects nationwide with remote or hybrid work options. The candidate will lead design for diverse construction types, manage calculations, and provide technical direction to project teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of structural experience, a PE license, and strong skills in Revit, RISA, SAP2000. Travel up to 5% may be required; U.S. citizenship is preferred.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience with building and facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience in seismic analysis and design of buildings.
• Strong knowledge in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.
• Experience with RISA 3D, SAP2000 or similar software.
• Experience with Revit and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360/341, and UFC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the structural design and analysis of building and facility projects.
• Lead structural engineering design for new construction, renovations, additions, and modifications to existing facilities.
• Develop structural systems for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.
• Perform and review structural analysis and design calculations including gravity, wind, and seismic design.
• Perform seismic design of buildings per ASCE 7 and codes.
• Deliver quality projects on schedule and within budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid level engineers.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specs, design narratives, and reports.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
