Job summary

Tetra Tech's High Performance Building division is seeking a full-time Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis on diverse projects across the United States in a remote or hybrid setup. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of structural engineering experience, a PE license, proficiency with RISA 3D, SAP2000, Revit, and BIM coordination, and strong communication skills with project teams.

Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience with building and facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Demonstrated seismic analysis and design of buildings including diaphragms, collectors, anchorage, and foundations.
• Strong knowledge and design experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundations.
• Experience with RISA 3D, SAP2000, or similar software; experience with Revit.

Responsibilities

• Manage the structural design and analysis of building projects.
• Lead structural engineering design for new construction, renovations, additions, and modifications.
• Develop structural systems for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.
• Perform and review structural analysis and design calculations (gravity, wind, seismic).
• Coordinate structural design with architectural, civil, geotechnical, and other disciplines.
• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, design narratives, and technical reports.
• Perform site visits and condition assessments as needed.
