Job summary

Tetra Tech's High-Performance Building division is currently seeking a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work on challenging projects across a wide range of construction types in diverse industry sectors, with opportunities for remote or hybrid work.

You will design structural systems, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff while maintaining field involvement and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience in A&E plus government contracting/consulting.
• EIT certification required; eligible to sit for PE within 12 months.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to client offices/projects (5%).

Responsibilities

• Support the structural design and analysis of facilities projects under guidance of senior staff.
• Lead portions of design work and contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications per codes and standards.
• Perform field investigations and assist in condition assessment reports.
• Coordinate with architects, other disciplines, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Model structural systems in Revit; assist BIM coordination.
• Design in compliance with local/state codes; support UFC guidelines.
• Assist in managing project schedules and deliverables.
