Job summary
ABB Inc. seeks a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for focused industry segments. The role involves working with SAMs to drive inquiry to order, emphasize high-probability, high-profitability projects, and leverage ABB's product portfolio for smart buildings and data center solutions.
This is a remote US position reporting to the Sales Support Manager. The incumbent will manage deal strategy, pricing discussions, and risk reviews while coordinating
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical distribution or related industry; at least 5 years in sales and project quotations.
- Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and configuration tools.
- Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects.
- Experience collaborating with global and local cross-functional teams and interacting with senior management.
- Proficiency with remote communication tools (Outlook, Salesforce, Teams).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
- Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to development of innovative solutions leveraging ABB portfolio.
- Evaluate project risks and initiate risk reviews with leadership; serve as contact for risk manager.
