Job summary

Sourcewell is seeking a Principal Account Executive (State Agency Liaison) to drive revenue by building trusted advisor relationships with agency accounts. You will guide complex negotiations, mentor teammates, and represent Sourcewell at internal and external meetings.

Location is remote with travel requirements; incumbents will manage an assigned territory across the United States and Canada, aligning solutions to agency objectives and ensuring program growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Six years of demonstrated experience in state agencies including purchasing, procurement, or contract management.
• Experience in sales, business development, or strategic account management with state sector clients.
• Supervisory or managerial experience leading people and resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex agency relationships and mentor a small team of representatives.
• Develop relationship management plans to engage decision-makers and influencers within agencies.
• Present standard solutions aligned to agency objectives with clear rationale.
• Set objectives for calls/ meetings and tailor materials for executives and influencers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally as the agency champion to grow external relationships.
• Maintain CRM data and stay updated on agency policies and regulatory codes; escalate issues as needed.
