Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - SRE to boost reliability of Grafana Cloud databases (Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Pyroscope) across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You’ll partner with embedded product squads, own high-SLA production environments, and drive automation to scale reliability.

You will design SLOs, define per-tenant reliability models, lead incident response, and contribute to design docs while mentoring engineers and influencing product strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with 4+ years in SRE/production engineering.
• Strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience operating multi-tenant systems in production and designing SLOs.

Responsibilities

• Own production reliability for high-SLA and complex customer environments.
• Design and implement automation to scale reliability practices.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate on product strategy, roadmaps, and technical designs.
• Improve observability and reduce toil across environments.
