Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for databases (Loki, Mimir, Tempo, Pyroscope) in a remote-first role. You will help design, build, and operate multi-tenant distributed systems running on Kubernetes across major cloud providers. The role emphasizes open-source culture, collaboration, and pragmatic AI-assisted development.

You’ll influence roadmaps, own features end-to-end, and participate in on‑call rotations while learning the codebase of a large-scale observability platform.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred).
• Experience delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping a product to customers.
• Experience with cloud-based software or systems engineering.
