Job summary

RethinkFirst, a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology, seeks a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team. The role reports to the Controller and supports month-end close, reconciliations, and audit procedures from a remote-friendly setting.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of accounting experience and an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and HLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions).

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
