Job summary

RethinkFirst is a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology, offering remote opportunities across many states. We seek a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and GAAP compliance within our accounting and finance team.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile variances, assist auditors, and help ensure timely financial reporting while collaborating with senior management and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with an ERP system like Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
