Job summary

RethinkFirst is a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology and is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close to GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred with 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
