Job summary

RethinkFirst is a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology, offering remote-friendly roles with national reach. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller.

This role involves bank reconciliations, month-end close support, and ensuring GAAP compliance. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of accounting experience, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
