Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral health technology, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role supports month-end close, reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant reporting.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience and an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Remote-first work with nationwide reach is available.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) with 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
