Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and assist with audits, ensuring accurate, timely close.

This remote position is open to candidates nationwide and requires GAAP proficiency, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and 1–3 years of general accounting experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; internship experience considered for new graduates.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring entries with proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (cash, prepaid, accrued liabilities, etc.) and assist auditors with schedules and reconciliations.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and reconciliation files per policy and standards.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness; investigate and correct posting errors.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis for the Accounting Manager.
• Perform tasks in line with established procedures and internal controls; propose improvements where applicable.
• Support ad hoc projects and analyses as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
