Zusammenfassung

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will prepare journal entries, complete reconciliations, and assist with internal and external audit requests.

You will help ensure accurate general ledger entries and timely close. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/GL systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• One to three years of general accounting experience; month-end close and reconciliation experience preferred. New graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
• Experience with an ERP or general ledger system; Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.

Aufgaben

• Prepare monthly journal entries as directed by the Accounting Manager, including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring and standard entries, ensuring each entry is properly supported and documented.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and other general ledger accounts; Assist with audit requests by compiling schedules, supporting documentation, and reconciliations for internal and external auditors, and respond to follow-up inquiries as directed.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers and reconciliation files in accordance with company policy and documentation standards.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness, and assist in investigating and correcting posting errors.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis for review by the Accounting Manager.
• Perform assigned accounting tasks in accordance with established procedures and internal controls, and bring suggested improvements to the Accounting Manager.
• Support ad hoc projects, analyses, and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
