Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role prepares monthly journal entries, reconciles accounts, and assists with internal and external audit requests.

You will contribute to accurate general ledger activity and timely month-end close in a multi-location practice. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 1–3 years of experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; internships for new grads considered.
• GAAP knowledge required.
• Proficiency in Excel with formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
• Experience with ERP or GL system; multi-location or healthcare experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines during close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close and audit requests.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and documentation.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Analyze general ledger activity and correct posting errors.
• Collaborate across departments on financial matters.
• Handle confidential financial information with discretion.
