Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits under the Accounting Manager.

This role contributes to accurate general ledger reporting and timely monthly close. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; month-end close and reconciliations preferred.
• Proficiency with GAAP and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
• Experience with ERP or GL systems; healthcare/ multi-location is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, recurring/standard entries).
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and research variances.
• Assist with audit requests and respond to inquiries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close per the schedule.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and documentation standards.
