RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role supports day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and audit readiness in a remote-friendly environment across multiple states.

Ideal candidates hold a accounting/finance degree with 2–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with Sage Intacct. You will contribute to accurate financial reporting and adherence to GAAP.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP system Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
• Prioritize conflicting demands and communicate deliverables clearly.
• Ability to present effectively to senior management.

Responsabilités

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
