RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team and report to the Controller. The role involves day-to-day accounting, journal entries, month-end close support, and ensuring GAAP compliance in a remote-first environment with national reach.

Ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of relevant experience, plus strong Excel and Sage Intacct skills. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task.
• Independent, self-driven with ability to meet deliverables.
• Ability to communicate with senior management.

Aufgaben

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist the month-end close, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, internal controls, and GAAP.
