RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role will perform day-to-day accounting activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end closes in a remote-friendly environment.

The position requires 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), and familiarity with Sage Intacct. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication and organization.

Responsabilités

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist month-end close with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors with documentation.
• Adhere to GAAP and internal controls.
