Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations in a remote role. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits under the Accounting Manager’s supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills. Experience with ERP/GL systems and handling confidential information is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience, month-end close preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and confidential information handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals and prepaids.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and schedules.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and reconciliations.
• Analyze GL activity for accuracy and investigate posting errors.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Support ad hoc projects and process improvements as needed.
