Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team in a remote-first, nationwide role. You will support month-end close, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and audit requests while maintaining GAAP compliance.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred, and you will collaborate with senior management to deliver accurate financial

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate discrepancies and assist month-end close processes.
• Support auditors and ensure GAAP compliance.
