Job summary

RethinkFirst is a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology, seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team. The role reports to the Controller and involves day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations, month-end close support, and ensuring GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2-3 years of relevant experience and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
