Job summary

Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas seeks a Team Lead for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program in North Carolina. You will supervise SSVF staff, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure services help veterans achieve stable housing.

Responsibilities include staff leadership, client outreach, coordination with landlords and community partners, and overseeing reporting requirements to support the federal grant.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in counseling psychology, rehabilitative counseling, or related human service field is required.
• Minimum of two years experience working with homeless individuals and families including veterans is preferred.
• Veteran or member of a veteran family is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hold a case load for SSVF Program.
• Provide day-to-day operational activities, including maintaining and keeping track of SSVF documents.
• Provides team leadership for the SSVF program.
• Coordinate client outreach and recruitment efforts for SSVF.
• Develops inter-agency relationships to enhance the referral processes.
• Review client files and provide guidance and direction to case managers.
• Review and approval check request.
• Travel to housing sites to support persons served and address health, behavioral or life skills issues.
