Job summary

Alera Group, Inc. is hiring a Spending Accounts, Funding Specialist to manage daily funding, banking operations, and reconciliations for spending accounts. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong Excel skills to ensure accurate processing and timely funding.

The position is remote within the Eastern or Central Time Zones, offering opportunities to collaborate with Claims, Data, Billing, Finance, and Account Management teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in funding, financial operations, reconciliations, banking operations, benefits administration, or a related field
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, filtering, and data validation
• Experience with financial reports, reconciliations, and transaction processing
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to research, analyze, and resolve financial discrepancies

Responsibilities

• Daily Funding & Banking Operations: monitor funding and banking activity for spending account plans and process banking transactions.
• Reconciliation & Financial Controls: complete true-ups, reconciliations, and monitor collateral and funding balances.
• Checks, Voids, Credits & Returned Funds: process voids, client credits, refunds, and returned funds; ensure proper application.
• Vendor & Payment File Support: coordinate with payment partners and support reporting across platforms.
• Client & Internal Support: respond to funding inquiries and collaborate with Claims, Billing, Finance, and Account Management.
• Controls, Documentation & Process Improvement: maintain documentation, SOPs, and identify process improvements.
