Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and collect critical demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information. You will place calls to patients and providers, answer inquiries, and help triage prior authorizations in collaboration with pharmacists and the Assoc.

Manager. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, some college preferred, and national CPhT registration per state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per state’s requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled hours (8am–7pm Mon–Thu, 8am–6pm Fri).
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with others.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management, copay assistance, and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Document information and prescription order setup accurately.
• Adhere to all applicable laws and high ethical standards; support other facility duties as needed.
