Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure complete patient records, including demographics, allergies, and payer information. The role involves outreach to patients and providers, documenting prescription details, and supporting triage for prior authorizations.

The Intake Specialist I will work under guidance from the Assoc. Manager, Patient Support Services and pharmacists, interfacing with healthcare teams to facilitate accurate dispensing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure may be required by residing state.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services and coordinate care and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information for prescriptions.
• Document information and set up prescriptions accurately in dispensing software.
• Assist providers and insurers with triaging prior authorizations as needed.
