Job summary

Lumicera Health Services, powered by Navitus, is seeking an Intake Specialist I in our Specialty Pharmacy. You will enroll new patients and ensure complete records with demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information, translating prescription details for dispensing.

Responsibilities include contacting patients and providers by phone or fax, facilitating prior authorizations, and supporting other areas as needed within the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee’s residing state’s requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure that all pertinent patient information is contained within the record (demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, payer information).
• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients and contact doctors and patients via fax or phone or other communication means.
• Translate prescription information and other information to dispense the medication into dispensing software.
• Assist providers and insurance companies in triaging prior authorizations for patients of the specialty pharmacy.
• Assist other areas of the facility as needed regarding pharmacy technician duties.
